I'm trying to buy a headlamp for the night running that we are having.

I'm thinking about getting this one:
Petzl Myo Lite 3

and I also like this one:
Myobelt 5

Let me know what headlamps works best for running/prox lighting/practical.

I'm trying to be as minimalistic as possible but am open to the best lighting options so I don't get run over by a biker nor do I want to trip over any homeless people.

Those look pretty fancy compared to mine. I usually have it with my stuff, so you can check it out next time if you want.

One of the things you'll want to decide is if you want it to have a rechargeable battery that you have to plug in to charge, or if you want one that uses regular batteries that you replace from time to time. There's advantages and disadvantages to both.

REI has a bunch of them, all different kinds.

Thanks Pete! I just don't want to end up with 5 different headlamps - seriously.

This is the headlamp I have: http://www.amazon.com... I really like it (and got it after reading a recommendation on a running blog)

You won't go wrong with a Petzl lamp. I have a Tikka 2, and it's great. Stick with the basics or else is gets expensive. I think the ones you referenced are going to be bigger than you want- the ones that have batteries directly behind the LEDs are much smaller (and lighter).
