Really wish I had signed up for the full marathon now! Anyone knows of anyone willing to part with their bib, or trade a full marathon bib for a 10k one?

This was the meeting spot last year for the 10k and it worked out (any ideas for the Marathon meeting spot? I'll be running the full!)

10k will meet here, at 7:20:

Hi - first time runner here, never run an official race in my life - running the Marine Corp 10k tomorrow morning - 2 questions - 1) what is the recommended way to attach the bib (with safety pins? what if you expect so shed a layer as you are running?), and 2) is the tracking chip in the bib, and do I need to hand it in when I'm finished with the race? Thanks - Bob

Bob, safety pin it to the layer you're keeping. There are bag checks (the bag you got), so you can always just check your upper layer and pick it up at the end of the race. The timing chip does not need to be handed in.

Bob I recommend you put the bib on your shorts if you plan to shed a layer after the start of the race.

Thanks for the tips! Also, they said my name as I crossed the finish line, but I didn't hear them say anyone else's name...why was I lucky? Is this random?

It is random & you are lucky. I've run tons of races and still haven't heard my name.
