A bunch of us ran it last year, and had a blast (completely flat course, yay!). I won't be able to make it this year, but it doesn't mean you guys shouldn't join in on the fun!
Here's the info from the site:
The 5th Annual Jingle All the Way 10K will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 7:45 am in Washington, DC's scenic West Potomac Park. Celebrate the sounds of the season with a run along the Potomac River and near the FDR Memorial. Capital Running Company brings this holiday-themed 10K race to Washington, DC. Come out and run in the last big 10K race of the year!
The certified 10K course is flat and fast, good for a new PR. The course follows Ohio Drive around Hains Point and up the Channel side to the turnaround, and then reverses direction, with runners going through the parking lot on the return. Water stations will be located at approximately two and four miles.
T-Shirts & Jingle Bells
Put jingle bells on your shoes and jingle all the way! Get your bells at packet pickup along with your bib and t-shirt. Long-sleeved, 100% cotton T-shirts with a colorful, seasonal design will be given to all registrants.
Refreshments
Food and hot beverages will be provided for participants and volunteers. Water will be provided on course near the two and four-mile marks, and at the start/finish lines.
Registration is $25 through December 7th. Check their website for more info or to register: http://www.runwashing...
RSVP once you registered. Have fun!
Lot of new faces so I wanted to post the meetup spot for races at West Potomac park:
