Another race for you guys... If you're celebrating St. Patty's Day that weekend, you will be going through a "What the hell was I thinking?" process when waking up for this race. But no better way to detox, right? What, no??

At least the start time is at 9am, so not totally terrible.

This is one of the largest races in DC! A bunch of us went last year and we had a great time despite the cold.

Registration is $30. As usual, there are festivities after the race! If you're wondering, 8k is about 5 miles.

If you register, RSVP here so you can meet up before/after the race. It's a couple of weeks before the Cherry Blossom 10 Miler and a week before the Shamrock & National marathons, so not a bad distance leading to it, for those of you who registered for those too.

We will meet at the same spot as last year. The race is starting on 12 & Pennsylvania Av. NW, so let's meet at Freedom Plaza, between 13th and 14th street. The park has two huge flagpoles, one with the American and the other with the DC flag -- let's meet right under the American Flag. In case that spot is filled, we'll go across the street, right in front of the steps on the NW corner of 14th and Penn. Be there by 8:30am so that we can all find each other well before the start time.
